...a  NEW DOUBLE ALBUM *HOME* will be released March 2006.

So what's it going to sound like?? In response to this question, Dave Robinson from F2 records emailed me to say ...

'Home' is going to be great (well, I have to say that don't I?!). Really,
it is going to be the most accessible CD by the band so far, but still
retain everything that is Magenta. I was trying to explain to someone
earlier about what it sounds like and it is difficult, but if you think of
'Seven', it is mellower than that and the tracks are more 'songs' than
previous releases, but all the Magenta magic is still included! There are
plenty of hooks & melodies and some great guitar / keyboard work that we
have come to expect! It's Christina's best vocal performance too! Magenta
headlined a festival here in the UK on Saturday night and played 5 tracks
all together from the new CD, and I think it got the loudest cheer out of
the whole set! (along with the first ever live playing of 'Sloth' from
'Seven' - one of my personal favourites - I think they just got fed up of
me asking them to play it live!!).

We hope to have a sample track from 'Home' up on progrock.co.uk, perhaps in
December, as a taster!

Sounds good to me ...Can't wait!!

Should be a great one, although I think their style on 'Seven' is perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it.  The only thing they need to fix on Seven are the out of tune background vocals done by the guys in the band on a certain song that I can't remember right now.  But If this is really going to be Christina's best performance I think we'll be in for a treat because her work on 'Seven' is absolutely beautiful and flawless in my opinion.  She has one of the prettiest voices not only in prog but in any genre of music that I've heard in a while.  Thanks for the heads up mate, I'll be looking forward to it as well.
