Went with the title track, mainly because of its campfire appeal. Back in the day I loved strumming this when the booze was doing its job on everyone; they all start singing along and swinging their cans of cheap beer. Yep, Floyd can get you laid.

Wans't it a single track album? I know there are five tracks but I've always intended it so. Who can listen to just one of them? Especially if you start with "Shine"

As far as I knew, it is Shine On that was supposed to be all just one song, but it didn't fit in one side and so they split it up as it is in both sides of the album.

It's true. The first version had the sou d of a thunderstorm in the background for tbe whole duration of the track. Luckily they decided to give it up i've found that version on a rarities unauthorizesd conpilation.

The perfect album where each song is as perfect as the next song. A masterpiece.

I voted for this one too - I listened to this album a lot in 8th grade - came back to it a few years after watching the documentary about the making of the album. Never really recognized the ending keyboard stuff as something significant until having it pointed out as a masterpiece of Rick Wright's until it was pointed out, I think in the aforementioned film. I actually like the entire album, though Wish You Were Here has probably been overplayed for me - and by me!
