I'm sorry, never liked Barclay James Harvest. Vapid and weak. They make the Moody Blues seem like bullies.
They took Barclay James' lunch money.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

^ I totally agree! I used to think the rather morbid "Suicide" is the best song Barclay James Harvest ever did, but now I prefer "In Memory of the Martyrs" for its message of love. Heart

Life is like a tall ship
Drifting gently from the shore
Time is like a fair wind
With a lifetime to explore.
The beauty that surrounds you
Was meant to be adored
The problems that surround you
Were meant to be ignored
We are love
We are
We are love.

Funnily enough, I used to think "In Memory of the Martyrs" was all about those who died trying to cross the Berlin Wall, until I read the lyrics.

Weird how a band like BJH can play in front of over 100,000 people in Germany but be lucky to play in front of 100 people in the US. I would imagine in the UK they would play in front of maybe 1000.

BJH probably halved their audience when they split up into two separate bands. Smile
