Stumbled across this blast from the past on YT. Phill Collins and Bill Bruford captain the teams on BBC's Pop Quiz, a prime time quiz show from 1982. Also on the panel, Colin Moulding from XTC and Robert Plant!! Suzi Quatro and some other geezer I'm not interested in.

Prog gods on pop quiz

I remember watching Pop Quiz, but don't remember this particular one.

I was surprised to see Bruford on this show. I would have thought that outside prog/fusion/jazz and musicians circles he would have been relatively unknown. Obviously not.

I think he was on Rock School which was probably around that time, so maybe he was known from that?

They should bring this back! (Prog Quiz - hosted by Rick Wakeman. Round One - is this song prog or not?).

They should get PA forum members on the panel to argue their case one way or the other.

Dear God, this is glorious! What a true find. It feels like something that would have played in one of my dreams, and on waking I'd be sure that it really happened then be sad that it never happened.
But now I can be happy, because it's real. Right?
The damage that we do is just so powerfully strong we call it love

The damage that we do just goes on and on and on but not long enough.
