Unlimited Edition... the essence of Can, at their most explorative.

Tangram is great, one of those where they succeeded masterfully at what they wanted to do there. Something fresh, some new direction (maybe a bit too sugary for some but much worse was to come), still essential TD. However I'll boycott this as it's not number 9. Other nice albums are Unlimited Edition, Blackouts, Planets, and the Novalis album, if not totally on top, is underrated. Can wins just about with the wonderful Tangram out of the equation.

Ashra's Blackouts album is not number 9 either, but I'm hoping no one will mind me including Ashra in the poll as a continuation from Ash Ra Tempel.

Good. At least I'm half-sensible then, which beats being insensible.

My vote is in Planets. A different approach from the fantastic Eloy.

I don't think the words 'classic' and 'Pyragony X' belong together. Amon Duul were knackered by this point. Only the even more dreadful 'Only Human' remained.
