Which songs are assumed to be played to death, but you still get goosebumps every time you hear them?

for me it's:
- Wish You Were Here
- Stairway to Heaven
- Roundabout
- Starless
- Won't Get Fooled Again
- In My Life

I like all of them but never get tired of ascending the Stairway to Heaven. Smile

The Night Sky by Mostly Autumn - this video is my favourite on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFTmQSI8qb4
I think that the imagery and music together make a stunning experience
For Today - Camel
Dearg Doom - Horslips
The Cinema Show - Genesis
The Narrow Margin - IQ
Breaking The Spell - Pendragon
The Hanging Tree - Arena
Midnight Mushrumps - Gryphon
Finlandia - Sibelius
Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis - Ralph Vaughan Williams
Lots more.
Great music never ages

Tbh, there's not much that sounds fresh to me, including brand new albums, aside from Horslips in their Tain period. Their music always sounds as if it was made yesterday, not 40 years ago. And that's from a group who entwined traditional Irish folk into their rock music. Go figure.

Al of of Rush & Yes songs come to mind. (Limelight , Freewill, Tom Sawyer, Roundabout, And You & I ,  Starship Trooper...) Even if I have heard them a million time I still enjoy them.

Anything by Yes and Rush but also:

Boston - More Than a Feeling
Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son
Jethro Tull - Aqualung

A few others

Unfortunately no radio songs by Led Zeppelin would make my list because they are the most played to death band of all time imo (PF would be a close second)

I've played the whole of Fish Out of Water to death, but I still get a healthy kick out of it.

I just picked up listening to The Wall again. After being in love with it for years when I was young. Still fresh, although I didn't expect it.
