I wish we could attend, but alas, our funds are limited, and we already spent a lot of money on travelling around this year.

That's a shame Friede, knew you'd be interested. Still, you've got VdGG popping round to see you both in a few weeks

I may go as I need to de-stress myself (even having bust ups here now ) and this sounds like it could be a fabulous weekend.

I went to the 25th anniversary back in 94 and it was great.

I help organize with a few buddies a mini-festival that WE in Braine-Le-Comte (30Km SW of Brussels).

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

The double CD of it is excellent. Steffie Sharpstrings of Here and Now replaces Steve Hillage, and Pip Pyle jumps in for the late Pierre Moerlen (who was still alive back then, but was stuck in a contract to play in "Evita" ). Else it is the classic Gong line-up (Daevid Allen, Gilli Smyth, Tim Blake, Mike Howlett, Didier Malherbe).

which double CD?

BTW, has someone heard the new Allen, Sacred geometry II?
The I is excellent!

And what about "Glastonbury Fayre '71"? i'm afraid sound is average....

On another hand, "Gong Sherwood Forest 75'", despite average sound and technical problems, shows the band at its best, especially Steve.

Actually that record is missing in the PA.

Yup the whole thing was magick - everyone that ever played in Gong was present except for Hillage ans Moerlen. And the guys meddled in with the crowd! Memories......

Did anyone go to this??

I missed it in the end, but just heard the following.....

"The climax of the proceedings was a 90 minute jam comprising Steve Hillage, Tim Blake, Mike Howlett, Gilli Smyth, Didier Malherbe, Steffe Sharpstrings, Theo Travis..."

Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn, damn, damn and blast!
