Founded in Bradford, Falconetti were a British post-rock group active from 2003 to 2009, self-releasing three EPs and a single during their tenure. Acting as a collective of collaborators, Falconetti revolved around guitarist Nick Tonge, bassist Mark Midgley and drummer Matt Fortune, with trumpeter Neil Heywood as a prominent auxiliary member.
The band's mostly-instrumental atmospherics incorporated shoegaze, post-punk and ambient influences ranging from Jesu, Mono and Mogwai to Cocteau Twins, Portishead and even Public Enemy. Falconetti ultimately ceased in 2009, with the core trio retiring from playing to focus on raising families. In 2020, Bradford-based label This Is It Forever released a compilation,
A History of Skyscrapers, which collected nearly everything recorded during the group's brief existence, remastered by worriedaboutsatan's Gavin Miller.
