BUTTS BAND      A bluesy band featuring Robbie Krieger & John Densmore who emerged from the butt end of The Doors after Jim Morrison broke on through to the other side in a Paris hotel room back in 1971. Ouch

I have an old vinyl copy of this. Much much better than “other voices” .

Both of the Doors minus Jim were real stinkers.

Keyboard player Ray Manzarek later said he regretted making the two albums after Jim's death, as did many of The Doors fans who went out and bought either of the two less-than-memorable post-Morrison albums. Ouch

On the other hand though, I love The Doors of the 21st Century concert, featuring half of The Doors (a doorframe maybe) and Jim Morrison lookalike and soundalike Ian Asbury of The Cult. Clap

THE BYRDS     The Byrds were flying Eight Miles High during the 1960's with their original five-piece line-up of David Crosby, Gene Clark, Michael Clarke, Chris Hillman & Roger McGuinn, but moving Farther Along to the  early 1970's, they'd had their wings clipped with only Roger McGuinn remaining - at least until the Byrds came Full Circle with their 12th and final great reunion album in 1973. Thumbs Up
