Topic: How Much Posted: February 07 2006 at 21:56 |
I'm wondering how much would the difference be that would make you pay for a CD to actually own the CD rather then virtually.
I say this because I just started using I Tunes. It's nice that you can buy albums for $10 and single songs and stuff.
But I always like the feeling of actually owning the CD.
So I was wondering if you had to put a monetary value to the limit that you would spend to own the CD, what would it be?
Example)
-Dream Theater CD - 9.99 on Itunes - I can get it for $12 physically...
i'll take the real CD, so that's $2. If that same CD was say,
$18, then I may just get it on itunes, get what i'm saying?

I've bought single CD's that were of an upward of $ 25-30(Canadian).
I absolutely refuse to download anything.

I try not to spend more than $20 on a single CD. But if it's a double disc live album, I might spend around $25-30. I download albums too, but that doesn't mean I won't buy the album if I downloaded it.

I never download albums. If an album is too expensive (20-30€, depending on the album), I won't buy it.

Unless the shipping was murder, I'd buy it in CD or vinyl format.
I like to have liner notes, cases, sleeves, lyrics, etc. A
physical piece of music.

But what I mean is, how much are those worth to you? Like if you had to put a monetary value to it.
