does anyone like them yet?

i'm in love.

and

does anyone know when their new album is scheduled to come out? PLEASE don't take this as fact--it's why i'm checking, but i heard they have an album due out soon somehow...maybe like a Catch W/O Arms p.2 ? ANyone hear anything about this (I heard on a forum so...of course it's not the most dependable)...anyways. I was just wondering. They have, after all, created two masterpieces--El Cielo and Catch Without Arms. Leitmotif and their Demos aren't bad either if you cay buy teh old singer. But please--if you have any answers/speculations then help me out.

Otherwise: If you haven't heard Dredg go listen but give them aple time. I doubt many people here will like them on first listen...especially the die-hard 70s people

Uhhh...Gavin Hayes has been the singer throughout dredg's discography...and haven't heard about another album; however, I did hear about a new live CD they're thinking about making as well as a making of Catch DVD.

Decent band...Catch was kind of a step behind if you ask me, but all the same a solid album.

I love dredg. I have El cielo and Catch without arms. they are veeery good imo. I dont know if they are recording another album. I hope its more like el cielo than CWA. I dont mind CWA but they got more comercial with that album. I wouldnt like it if they went into the "easy way to get money" route.

No news on their site as to new stuff being recorded soon.

The only thing is this. The following is taken from the DREDG official website:

Waterborne" Available for Download and Pre-Order

Waterborne, the independent feature scored by Dredg, is available for download at the Google Video Store. One of the first films to distribute online, the film revolves around a terrorist attack on the water supply of Los Angeles.

Great band. El cielo is deffinitely their best release, though I enjoy the catchiness of Catch Without Arms. I saw them live too, they kick ass live, I recomend it if you can.

I Love them so much.  They remind me of Geneis, as weird as it sounds. Catch is a sloid album, why it's being more commercially appealing is bad I never understood.  They've stated in interviews that it's the music they wanted to make.

Why was this moved to the Non-Prog forum?

Great Band.
