It may be a cliche, but Led Zeppelin IV was their finest hour, as Ghost Rider said it is a flawless masterpiece.  Personally I, like many others here, have an affinity for Houses of the Holy as well.  For me PG has a great first disc but the second is a bit weak (despite containing outstanding tracks such as "In the Light" and "Ten Years Gone").

Me, being a Led Zeppelin fanboy, love all of there albums but my favorite personally is Led Zeppelin III. To me it shows the band at there best as songwriters. Some of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard are 'Tangerine' and 'That's the Way'. A sense of fun and humor was also revealed, with a more relaxed approach not found in the other albums.

All great albums (who voted for Coda though?) but I have to vote for II, mainly for sentimental reasons as it was one of the first rock albums I ever heard, but it does have Whole Lotta Love, Thank You, Heartbreaker, Ramble On etc etc. All the Zep albums are of tremendous high quality - their first duff track imo was "Hots on for nowhere" on "Prescence". I can't think of any other band who have such high quality throughout their catalogue (not even The Beatles).

I can't decide. I 'm between II and IV but Physical Graffity is a magnificent work too :x

(after 3 mins of deep thought)

I choose IV because the first time I listened to Stairway to Heaven, and especially from the moment where the all - time - classic solo crashed down and was followed by the dynamic part after it, I couldn't move my hands or my feet, my breath was taken and I was standing still waiting my soul to return to my body from heavens. That exact moment I had seen the light. And then I heard When the Levee Breaks...

Presence is my favorite.  The epic Achilles Last Stand is just awe inspiring.

My three favorites:
1. House of the Holy
2. Zep 1
3. Zep 4

You've just had a heavy session of electroshock therapy, and you're more relaxed than you've been in weeks.

I am still amazed by the cold reviews they got when they
first gave out their albums in the sixties and seventies...

they are simply the greatest band in history, period.

Houses Of the Holy, because No Quarter is my most favourite LZ's song.
