The Go! Team? don't know if you would really go as far as calling them prog, they are defintily experimental though and have a sound that I have never heard before.

Dalbello : essential if you like Kate Bush, wrote the classic "gonna get close to you" covered by Queensryche on their album 'rage for order'

Laurie Anderson : the most experimental female pop artist

Ahleuchatistas - 'what you will' released on the famous cuneiform label, it's a must for fans of mind-blowing instrumental music in the vein of spastic ink.

Group 87 - it features a fantastic line-up : Patrick O'Hearn, terry Bozzio, Peter Maunu and last but not least Mark Isham. Accessible fusion-jazz.

Black symphony - a canadian prog metal band

Notice btw that PA is the only prog site to have Iron Maiden in its database, whereas Metallica, which is listed in at least two of the prog sites I know (babyblaue seiten and ground and sky) is not here.

"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)

Lately I am coming across many apparently Prog bands which are not in PA yet, especially in RIO/avant direction of prog. The problem is that I have not much time and/or possibilities to search the net for the information about these bands, and quick search, which I am doing when I can anyway, does not give me much results, if any. Sad actually, as otherwise I'd like to put up for submission many bands....

I copied your bands list you posted in the RIO thread and when time permits I will look into them and see what I can come up with. Adam can help me in that, since he knows some of them (at least heard of).

If you have anymore info (even some tiny piece of info) you can PM me or post it in the RIO thread.

Last weekend I bought an album by a german band called PROSPER, their album was called Broken Door, and it was pretty good that could easily be considered a Krautrock classic. I looked over here but didn`t find any info about this band.

Maybe you should check this one out.

Hi!! how are you all? this is my first post and I didn't know where to post. Anyway I found a good one!! I'm From Chile and i saw that Congreso Band is going to join Prog Archives. Nice!! they are one  of the oldest and  most important bands here like Los Jaivas. In fact tomorrow I'm going to a free concert for "The day of Music" here in Chile and Congreso is one of the bands I wan to listen to.

But there are many more, I like to investigate music from diferent countries and I've found very good bands  that I could´t find in  other places, my question is..May I Suggest Bands here? or there is another post to do it?
¡¡El Rocanrol no morirá jamás!!
