Anybody else here who has this singer/song writer/actor from the seventies in his or her collection? I have always liked his seventies' albums (best: I/You), in which he made intelligent pop music in the vein of say 10CC or some of Queen's lighter works. Ian Anderson was amongst the guest musicians that he used, by the way.

Protheroe is probably in my top five all-time artists. Three great mid-seventies albums! I'd say that he hopped genres even more than 10cc - can't say that I would relate him to Queen (or 10cc) much, though I like Queen a lot and 10cc resides with BP in my fvaorite bands.

He was very off-the-wall lyrically and musically, ranging from prog-like to English Music hall and then some. Definitely worth checking out if you like major variety in your music (peformed excellently) with a sense of humor.

Del Newman was producer of his three disks and did a great job, making sonic sense out of this disparate group of songs.
