What do you all think of this band?

I love them... they're so unique and inspirational...

Embarrassed

If you want to hear them, you have to go to iTunes. But 30 second samples arent worth anything...

EDIT: heres some info i stole from wikipedia.Tongue

"múm (pronounced "moom"; in IPA, /mu:m/) is an experimental Icelandic musical group whose music is characterized by soft vocals, electronic glitch beats and effects, and a variety of traditional instruments.

The band was formed in 1997. Its original members were Gunnar Örn Tynes, Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason, and twin sisters Gyða and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir. In 2002, Gyða left the band to return to her studies in Reykjavík.

According to band member Kristín Valtýsdóttir, the band's name was not intended to mean anything; in fact, the band was unaware of the English word "mum" when they chose it."

I've heard one track by them.  It reminded me of a cross between Massive Attack and Bjork.  Not bad at all.  Is this what they usually sound like?

They have a bit more of an experimental edge than a Bjork/MA hybrid would.  They are currently under discussion with the post-rock team.  Whether or not they're prog is subjective at this point, but I think they're a damn fine band!Thumbs Up

Awesome! I think they'd do nicely with the other post-rock.

Any other fans? Smile
