A spanish band playing celtic rock, rather strange ? Celtas Cortos is the best band I've heard among all celtic rock bands. Fiddles, flute and uilean pipes (+ saxophone and even accordeon on some tracks) are used proficiently in their music to create a celtic mood, and their lyrics are in spanish giving them a unique identity. They can play any kind of music : rock, country (derivative of celtic music), hard-rock, ska, reggae, ballads, salsa...especially on their 4th album 'Tranquilo majete'. Since I discovered them recently, I rate them very high among my favourite bands (regardless of the genre), they are very skilled musicians proving music has no boundary. If you are aware of their music, what do you think of them : do you enjoy as me their wonderful music ?

I have only their '90 album "Gente impresentable".
Bought it because I liked the cover. Nice music, not a must have IMO, but enjoyable.

Check out 'cuentame un cuento' or their following album 'tranquilo majete' : both are excellent records !
