Two songs flirt with it- 'Sixty Years On' and 'Funeral For A Friend'- but even those aren't really even 'prog related', and to even comprehend Elton John as being here would surely turn the site into a laughing stock!! If he was here, anybody who ever released a vaguely conceptual or double album would be in his wake!!Dead

Never seen suich a one-sided poll.

Not even one goal to save the honour
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

He auditioned for King Crmson once,  Rick Wakeman played on one of his albums (Don't remember which.) and a few of his songs supposedly sounds proggy.

That's far from enough. It makes more sense to add Phil Collins solo (Neither he should be added.).
Thumbs Down

Rick Wakeman plays on 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' I think?? Though the song concerned, 'Grey Seal' was older than that album- 1970- which would agree with the era that Wakeman was a session musician. He plays mellotron on it, I think.

But yes, a complete landslide!! Never seen anything like it...

I have the utmost respect for Elton John as a musician. I love many of his songs. Just one or two songs are prog-related. No way he should be here.

The closest Elton ever got to prog was "Your Starter For" from Blue Moves.

It's unanimous - no Elton here.

I have lost alot of respect for EJ over the years, but "Captain Fantastic" and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" are both top notch albums; but Ive never considered anything he has done to be progressive.

Why didn't you do it yourself?
