I like 3.5 albums by Metallica and 4.5 albums by Megadeth, so I guess the latter appealing to me more.

Metallica, because from the point of composition and song devellopment Megadeth NEVER reached the quality of Metallica. Albums like ...and Justice and Master of Puppets are way ahead of Megadeth. I also don't agree that Metallica didn't produce anything worthwile after 1990 (see a.o. my sig).
