ex-Pain of Salvation bassist Kristoffer Gildenlöw has a new project that includes Devon Graves of Dead Soul Tribe called "Dial", the album is called "Synchronized" and you can read the press release and get to the audio samples and ordering at http://www.progrockrecords.com/press/view.php?id=67 the album will ship in about 3 weeks, the pre-orders are discounted $2. This album is a lot more mellow than you'd expect given who is on it, but it's a good listen and very unique.
Best Regards,

It better be better than Scarsick!  I suspect it will be, not much can be worse than that.  I may check these samples out later.

Might be a silly question, but would you describe the music as prog?

One man's view of prog may be another's view of pop-rock that hasn't been heard before.

I've just listened to the samples and they're very good, an album I definitely want, and probably prog-related at least, possibly Art rock but I need to hear the whole thing first.

Then maybe you should try the samples at his site and find out?  Smile
I don't like every band he has but they are adventurous and experimental enough to be put under the prog label.

They didn't exactly overwhelm me ... all quite tame with no stand-out melodies. But maybe the album will be better!
