The only things I liked about that show were the costumes, and the set design.

Not a great lover of musicals but I have a soft spot for the UK (1971 ?) recording of Godspell w/ Julie Covington

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Greatest and most solid musical ever written: My Fair Lady

other than that... I am shocked not to see any Sondheim in your list... (Yes he wrote the lyrics for West Side Story, but that was truly Bernstein's musical).  Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods, Pacific Overtures, Assassins, Passion, A Little Night Music, Follies, Nine........

Jesus Christ Superstar, as I have stated before, is pretty close to Prog..  And Gethsemane is a masterpiece song.  Rocky Horror has a special place in my heart....  My first wife and I loved performing as Riff Raff and Magenta....  :)  Tommy... Good musical as well....

From your list..... JCS I guess.....
Twenty men crossing a bridge into a village,
are twenty men
crossing twenty bridges
into twenty villages.

I'm a big fan of musicals. I voted for West Side Story. The Producers is great as well.
