I too was very sad to see that news. Hopefully he'll come through it intact and give us some more great music.

Yes, hopefully he gets a lot better, his playing alone touched the heart of others.

I feel a little bit guilty that all of us are wishing him to get well just so we can hear good music. Nevertheless, get well Andy!!!

yeah, i got the newsletter on may 18th, right after andy's birthday (17th). susan hoover (his wife) wrote a beautiful note about this.

back in 1992 i wrote him an 18-page latter and he replied to me in person. so you may guess the amount of love i have for this true artist.

there is a guest page on their website which andy will read every omnce in a while. i just don't have the courage to drop him a line.

i wish him and his loved ones all the best,

What is with all of this sad news this month? Unhappy

Indeed, Peter leaving Opeth, Johan leaves POS, now this... this year seems to be kind of bittersweet...

Today I have got a newsletter-list news from one Russian progressive rock lover (I don’t know where he took this piece of news from but probably not out nowhere)

It quotes Susan Hoover about that Andrew Latimer working on the next Camel album despite his illness!

Sad news about Andy his ilness, let's hope he will recover. For me his is one of the best guitarplayers in the symphonic prog category, so emotional, the instrumental Ice is Latimer at his best Clap

I haven't looked at Camel's website for several months until today.

Susan Hoover has written a statement on Andy's current health issues.  If you are interested in reading, go to www.camelproductions.com and click on the 'News' tab.  Some of the news paints a bleak picture but much of what Susan says is upbeat.

On a personal note, I am devastated by this.  Please join me in wishing Mr. Latimer nothing but peace and happiness during this difficult time.
