This German band has been around since the 70s and have
released about 15 albums. They sing in English but
their website is only in German. Reviews of their
albums appear on progressiveworld.net,
www.babyblaue-seiten.de, http://www.gnosis2000.net,
all highly respected prog sites. Reviews are
especially favourable for the later albums. They are
quite spacey with influences from Pink Floyd to Eloy
to Hawkwind.

This is a translation of the bio on the band website:

Cosmic-style singer, composer and Bandleader Christian
Nóvé leads DICE through the universe of the cosmic.
To grasp the DICE-Sound with few words is no easy
task. The music is held together through its highly
intelligent arrangements, bolstered by a great rhythym
section, over which floating Keyboards and Floyd-ish
guitar appear comfortably. Strong melodies always
take center stage.

DICE has existed since 1974 and was established by
Christian Nóvé. The first DICE-LP with musicians as
well as Alto Pappert (ex-Kraan) and George Kochbeck
(ex-Joachim boldly) appeared in 1979. The first
DICE-LP´s are noted today in the rarity-catalogues.
The CD produced by Christian "Tengo Tengo" appeared in
1991 after which Dice reformed. Since 1997 each year
has brought out a new CD, discussed worldwide in the
music magazines and making Dice an established
component of the music scene in Germany.

I think you'll agree that inclusion on progarchives is
long overdue!

Thanks!

I know, I should have mentioned them.  There is no relation.  I only have one German Dice album, "Waterworld".  I think it's great, and reviews of the last few albums, called "Within and Without" parts 1 and 2, compare them to Clive Nolan solo projects, which I know nothing about.

I'm not sure there is another band that has so many released albums, is so clearly prog, and is not on our great site.

this band.. should have been added... early last year when a junior member of the symph team (was a PR) I was tasked by Ivan to explore this group.  I did up a bio after contacting and speaking to Christian.  I'm not sure what happened to it, they obviously weren't added, but are prog.  Might still have the info on my computer.. but that is 8000km away.

This is a copy of the email that Mr Levine sent to the Band Submissions team on 9th June, so we already have this one. The details were passed on to Eetu on 11th June.

Great!  Since I had not heard anything in the interim, and it was the first time I tried that approach, I wondered if the email had gone to the Ether instead of Eetu.  Wacko
