I just pre-ordered GTA IV for the 360 today and am eagerly awaiting the games release on Apr. 29.

I am a huge fan of this series,I love the open ended gameplay, the huge enviroments, the humor/parody/satirism,the ton of things to do,and most of all...the freedom to be as bad as you wanna be.

Just wondering how many fans of the series there are here, and what is your favorite game.I loved Vice City.I spent the ages of 14-24 in the 80's and it really brought back some memories, especially the soundtrack. But my favorite is San Andreas, having a whole state to play in was a blast.

If you don't like the games(and there are many who don't) please feel free to say so,but in a mature manner please,no flames.

I have always loved GTA2. It was huge step up from GTA1 in terms of playability, and it's more cohesive. Plus, nothing like stealing a tank and running down some infantry and smaller vehiclesThumbs%20Up

Great games.

III was fun (and my introduction), but I didn't like the fact that you get shot at...ALOT by the end. Really limits the fun you can have IMO.

SA was also a blast...especially when I first got it. Easily the best world. Love the elements with the countrysides, the highway, and the train. So Frickin large...its awesome. The storyline is where this game loses points for me. Its pretty good, but I feel it could have been better.

Vice City. I absolutely love this game. It has everything...great storyline, intense action, the BEST radio in any of the game, lots of side things to do which alot of them are really fun, and good characters. I wish the world was a little larger...but thats only after playing SA.

VC gets my vote...they will have to do alot to surpass that game in my mind.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

Have you ever played on of the "Stories" games?

They are PSP games but were ported to the PS2,and for $20 brand new they aren't a bad deal.Vice City Stories is good, but I had issues with the main character(Vic Vance..Lance's brother) and the story line sort of sucked. It is nowhere near as good as the original game though.

Vice City FTW!
It has something to with the color palate and Iron Maiden.

I played one of them in a store while they had it on display (I think it was LC). It was alright. Didn't really know the controls of the PSP though. Good to know they are that cheap...might have to pick them up sometime.

Vice City, I think! The first 2 games were awesome though, 2D games are great!

San Andreas is my favourite so far, but I believe GTA IV is going to be the best game ever.

Grand Theft Auto Advance is a nice 2D game with the classic top down view. It's a GBA game but is also compatible with the Nintendo DS.

It's got some nice tweaks, they corrected some of the problems from the first two games. It's set in Liberty City about 1 year before the events in GTA III.There are a ton of things to do,a lot of missions, and for being on the GBA the city is HUGE.It's also one of the few rated M games on the GBA.

Only problem is,it's kind of hard to find.I bought it when it first came out but gave it to my son after playing to death.I recently wanted another brand new copy and found it on Amazon but it costs me nearly $30.
