The engineer and producer Norman "Hurricane" Smith, of Beatles and Pink Floyd fame, has died aged 85.

A sad loss, he was a major influence in the music we know and love today.
 
I also enjoyed his solo singles output in the early 70's under the name Hurricane Smith.
