Ten albums. This is hard...I don't know. My list might be something like this:

Megadeth - Rust in Peace
Jethro Tull - A Passion Play
YES - Tales From Topographic Oceans
Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
ELP - Brain Salad Surgery
Dream Theater - Images and Words
Angra - Holy Land (maybe, all their albums are great)
Pantera - Cowboys from Hell
Yezda Urfa - Sacred Baboon
Caravan - For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

I'm a child of the 70's (and technically, early 80's), so prog (and punk) are in my DNA, but all these lists have made me wonder how committed an acolyte I am. My tastes in music are very eclectic. My radio show used to have 16th century dancemusic followed by Motorhead; hour-long ambient mixes followed by The Flamin' Groovies. I started by wondering how many of my top 10 albums (if I could even remotely figure out such a list) would not be prog, and ended up wondering how many actually would be. I don't know.

Here are albums which I am reasonably confident would be in my top 10:

The Kinks - Are the Village green Preservation Society

Nah, I give up.

For now...
