Apocalyptica for Progressive Metal

Hi,
I suggest Apocalyptica from Finland for Prog Metal. They're a Cello quintet with a drummer and they play metal. They're entirely classically trained, and often their music will go into some neo-classical parts. They got started doing Metallica covers.

In their recent albums, they've featured singers but I really prefer their instrumental stuff.

	They have been considered but they were rejected. Their music, while interesting, is hardly progressive. The most unique aspect of course is their playing with cellos...but the music itself is rather normal hard-rock-metal....

	Alright. I guess you're right. Don't neglect Ne Obliviscaris though, I posted them in a different thread. They are an incredible and very progressive band. One of the best new bands to emerge. They deserve to be better known.
