Yeah - and I think their rejection was for one of two reasons - either "political" or because nobody here really knows their music, For goodness sake - Uriah Heep are here when Strat leaves them cold at their own style. Again = listen to them!!!

I haven't heard much of Stratovarius but what I have heard is nothing like Heep.
OK, I've checked back on two previous proposals and the overwhelming opinion from the PM team is no, and a poll rejected them by 38 votes to 19, so I think we should knock this one on the head now. You are of course free to propose them again at some point in the future, but I don't think this is going to get anywhere at the moment. |

AGAIN!!!! Don't put bands that are already here to justify Strat's inclusion! IT DOESN'T WORK!
I can barely think of a band who has been suggested and it was rejected for the lack of knowledge of it. I think it's very offensive to say "because nobody here really knows their music", Teams evaluate the bands for weeks and sometimes even months(I think). So please don't go and say ! |

I think the more you go on, the less likely they are to be added. You're just going to antagonise people. If you think we have something about Swedish prog acts, you should check out some of the threads about The Flower Kings, to name but one.

Okay Enough is enough.
We only need one Stratovarius thread open and since this is the more recent of the two I'm closing it.
Please feel free to continue in the earlier thread. http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=53809
