After the extravaganza of the last two years and the recent break-in and robbery in Gouveia's town hall (who organize the festival), it seems this years edition might be on the cheap side - the first symptom being the cutting back from 3 days of festival to only 2 again.

Still, things are beggining to shape up: a bit later than usual the dates have been announced: 17th & 18th April.

The following artists have been confirmed for Day 1:

AFTER CRYING (Hungary)

ASTURIAS (Japan)

MÖRGLBL (France)

DAVID MYERS (Canada)

The following artists have been confirmed for Day 2:

THE ENID (UK)

STEVE HACKETT ACOUSTIC TRIO (UK)

TOUS DEHORS play La Flûte Enchantée

More info:

Festival website (in english): http://www.gaudela.net/gar/index-e.html
Youtube channel with videos of previous editions: http://www.youtube.com/Gouveiaartrock
MySpace page with previews of upcoming performances: http://www.myspace.com/gouveiafestival

I'll try to keep this up-to-date.

What bands will headline both nights?? I'm expectant viewing festival's web each day.  This would be my second GAR.

Steve Hackett is gonna rule (though i'm not too sure about 'acoustic'), i'm going on the 18th!

Also, i've posted before, but just to remind because it seems nobody is caring, the great Holger Czukay (ex-Can) is coming to Portugal on April 9, playing in Lux, in Lisbon. It's going to be historic!
