Frameshift is a project by Henning Pauly formerly of the band Chain.I would classify them as prog metal. The first Frameshift album is called Unweaving the Rainbow and features James Labrie on vocals. It is very good,IMO.The second Frameshift cd I just bought recently and features Sebastian Bach on vocals. That's called An Absence of Empathy and I think it's pretty good. Both cd's revolve around a theme or concept. The first dealing with evolution and the second dealing with human nature and violence. If you like DT I strongly recommend Unweaving the Rainbow.

I agree. And in the 80's besides prog I was going through my thrash phase and had no time for what they now call "hair bands",and did not like Skid Row.But on Frameshift's second cd I have to admit that Bach has an amazing voice and coupled with the prog metal music I really liked it.Not as good as Unweaving the Rainbow, but totally not as bad as I thought it would be.

I understand there is yet another Frameshift album out...
I'm eager to hear it! I simply loved the first (Spiders for instance)

I just saw the Frameshift cd and saw it was Sebastian Bach on vocals. I was shocked. I thought Skidrow had some cool songs. I liked the song Slave to the Grind. Sebastian Bach doing prog metal sounds like an odd choice.  I am glad to see he did a good job of it.
