This was posted today at Prog Ears and here so I'm posting it here for those interested.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT from the GOUVEIA ART ROCK organization, presenting...

The second edition of Autumn one-day festival GoPROGFest!!!

The closure of much of the European airspace on account of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull made it impossible for some of the scheduled bands and artists to perform at the Gouveia Art Rock 2010 festival. The event went on, as all of you know, but it had to deal with unexpected and fast lineup changes.
Being acutely aware of the disappointment caused to our faithful audience, the organisers of the GAR festival promised then that they would do everything in their power to bring the missing bands and artists to the GoPROGFest, this being the other progressive music event organised by us.

The good news for music enthusiasts visiting both events is that this year's GoPROGFest will feature almost all of these bands and artists, and will total five shows and recitals with the addition of other equally prominent acts. October 23rd is bound to see yet another memorable event in Portugal.

As a result, the 2010 GoPROGFest will in fact go way beyond the original reason why it was created, which was to simply complement the GAR festival with a one-day Autumnal event. Its nature and extensiveness put the 2010 event on an equal ground with the GAR festival.

Despite the extensiveness of this year's GoPROGFest, the admission price will continue to be merely symbolic and not increase proportionally - We will keep another promise we made last April: owners of a valid ticket for the first GAR 2010 day will receive a free ticket for the GoPROGfest on 23rd October. They just have to click the link below and confirm, until September 24th, that they want to join us in Gouveia.

CONFIRMED LINEUP for GoPROGFest 2010 (Oct 23, 3 PM):

- SENOGUL (Spain):
Despite their different backgrounds and musical influences (ranging from heavy metal to blues, folk music and post-rock), the musicians of the Asturian quintet found a common terrain early on in the band's history: progressive rock. Their compositions on the band's released albums as well as in their numerous collaborations on other artists' albums fuse a variety of instrumental music styles: rock, jazz, blues, baroque music, contemporary minimalism, electronic music and flamenco.

- MATS AND MORGAN BAND (Sweden):
Inspired initially by the works of Frank Zappa, with whom they played in 1988, Mats Oberg and Morgan Ågren have created their very own style of well-structured instrumental music, based on their very own variation of avant-garde music, to which the band adds influences drawn from Canterbury movement, Rock-in-Opposition and naturally the man Zappa himself.

- AFTER CRYING (Hungary):
The music written and performed by this septet stemming from Budapest provides an impressive blend based on multiple influences, drawing from the likes of Frank Zappa, King Crimson and Emerson, Lake and Palmer, but also from Western classical music, jazz and Magyar folk music. Brilliantly combining modern and traditional music, East and West, the result is thoroughly original and coherent, and is performed live with outstanding musicianship.

- IVA BITTOVÁ (Czech Republic):
The wildly talented Czech singer, violinist and composer's art is an utterly original and virtually perfect blend of so-called 'classical' music, avant-garde rock, jazz and Central European folklore, creatively and constantly on the border between academic and popular, urban and country, and Western and Eastern music.

More... yet to come!
