I didnt say it was going to happen, just wishful thinking. The chances of that are pretty slim.

I was reading teletext in the middle of the night the headline was like this:

"PINK FLOYD REUNITE FOR LIVE 8"

I could not believe it

I'm looking foward to it.

Well I must confess that I thought all the rumors that have been going around about this for the past few weeks were just plain bollocks and wishful thinking.

But now that nearly all the major news outlets are reporting this, along with quotes from Gilmour about it, well, all I can say is:

SWEET!!

It's great they could put their past differences aside for a good cause, and it's about time!

to be honest with you guys, i am totally against this reunion trend that has been going on the last years. yes sure i would like to watch floyd live and van der graaf generator but sometimes it's better to protect the band's name and keep it clean. i know that vdgg's reunion has nothing to do with money (they never were the group with the millions of sales) but how about floyd??? i thought that gilmour and waters hated each other. don't tell me now that they forgot everything and became best friends again. it reminds me of ozzy-iommi ( black sabbath) and harris-dickinson ( maiden) who really played with our nerves.

Well live 8 is for a good cause, maybe they felt they could put their differences aside to bring more attention to the problems in africa. Doesnt sound like greed to me.
