From the band's new official wesite (http://redjasperband.com/):

The 6th Red Jasper studio outing will be entitled 'The Great and Secret Show'.

It is only the second Red Jasper studio album to include a title track.  The previous four albums have not contained a song with the same title as the album.

'The Great and Secret Show' the song, is based on the themes in the Clive Barker novel of the same name, and was the first to be worked on by the 'new' Red Jasper line-up.

Live work is still to be confirmed, but for recording purposes, Red Jasper will now comprise a four-piece unit;

Robin Harrison - Guitars

DC - Drums & Lead Vocals

Jon Thornton - Bass

Lloyd George - Keyboards/arrangements

All four members have writing credits on this album in various combinations.  The album follows on the progression of 'Anagramary', with a more mainstream progressive rock feel.  The vocals of DC will certainly contribute to this.

For the die-hard RJ fans; they can rest assured that the older material will NOT be ignored when performing live.  Older tracks such as Treasure Hunt, Virtual reality and even King of the Fairies are being considered for inclusion into the live set.

'The Great and Secret Show' is provisionally due for release via iTunes and CD in early 2011

In the meantime, I strongly recommend the band's previous three albums:

Midsummer Night's Dream
A Winter's Tale and
Anagramary

All great albums, if you can find them!
Btw, I'm still lokking for the band's early releases (any help is much appreciated!!)

Me Too! Love this band!
My ex-wife destroyed only one CD in my large collection and it had to be hard one to find (A Winter's Tale!!!!) of course. Been searching ever since ....
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Very good review you did on Anagramary! Personally, I think that Anagramary was a step down from the previous two albums, but still a great one. Midsummer Night's Dream is my favourite and a masterpiece!

Looking forward to the new album though, even if it has been advertised as being more like Anagramary than the previous more folky albums.
