It was one of the best shows I've ever seen.  Each member of the band was in top form, especially Franz Di Cioccio, who was very ecstatic.  The crowd was simply mesmorized, and gave PFM a standing ovation after most of the songs.  'twas a once in a lifetime event.
And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime.
I never said I was frightened of dying.

Thanks for your reply Scrambled Eggs.

I had read somewhere that Premoli (keyboards) had not showed up at one of the shows in Brazil, ans was kind of worried that I might not see the whole line up.

I guess it's Lucio Fabbi on violin ?

I know from one guy at btf.it, who happens to meet with Di Cioccio from time to time, that PFM has a new studio album ready to go out for a while, but for whatever reason Sony would be holding it back.

I'm almost certain they did, but after seeing ten bands o'er the weekend at NEARfest my memory could be a little off.

I saw them too... best show of the weekend!!  Very tight and even a few gimics.  As SE mentioned, Franz was very exhuberant and part time sang, part time played drums, but his switching in between with the backup drummer was quite interesting... I'll post some pictures later.

Hi Linda, great to meet you in New York this last week that was a lot of fun and Stacy agrees. We will have to do that again sometime. PFM rocked as did Proto-Kaw in uniquely different ways.  Very good double bill. We had a blast. Too bad you didn't make it to the Comfort Suites as members of PFM and Proto Kaw were there.  Pretty fun!

Anyone can comment on the fact that Premoli (keyboardist) would not be part of the tour ?

Flavio Premoli was not part of the show at Nearfest. According to the nearfest  admins he will hospitalized for two months but is expected to make a full recovery.  Don't know why or what he has.  The replacement was great though.

Well, if their performance is equal to that they just gave in Quebec City yesterday, you'll never forget it. Fantastic.
