This is one of my preferred band since my childhood. Some songs are good example of Symphonic electronic Prog a la Wakeman/ Vangelis (a sort of mix between). Other songs are good as Space Rock and other as Krautrock. Other songs are disco POP. But their roots are clearly in Prog Rock.

Hmm, it seems that they are not that well known, but that their most well known and highest rated albums are 'Galaxy' from 1980 & 'Atomic' from 1982...I dug up some samples from those, and tbf. I can't hear much prog in them at all:
From 'Atomic': From 'Galaxy': The stage suits and paint don't really help the cause much either... They are generally tagged as Space Rock, Spacesynth, Space Disco, Synth Pop etc. Perhaps you could give us a hint of some of their more progressive stuff?

@ yam yam: I have three albums of late 70's / early 80's. However al'inizio career (and after) they have produced good Prog songs, scattered in their albums. Having your hands "34 Greatest Hits" I can say that I found Prog in their music (although there is much else). Some songs are very ambient in a sort of mix Between Vangelis and German electronic music (as far as I know the genre) and I can say that many songs, although not Prog, have structures typical of Prog, in the construction of rhythmic complexity or in the scores.
Sure the musical player in Rockets site spits songs at random and does not allow to understand the evolution of their music...

Are we Disco Archives?
Who's next if Rockets will be here? Boney M? Giorgio Moroder? Cerrone?

I tried to listen to samples from their first albums, on their website, but it doesn't seem to work.

......sorry but...do not belong in PA, even if they were capable of a few prog tunes - apparently not used as references in the thread.
