This was great. A $15 performance of one of the world's best guitarists with a 80 person audience in a small music store.

This is why I love New Zealand. The concerts are tiny, and personal, we had conversations about how they came up with song names to one guy asking why Tosin wore women's pants in one of his online videos.

The basic idea of the performance was Tosin playing some Animals As Leaders songs with a backing track and answering questions about playing and stuff. And I was front row :D

He only ended up playing 8 songs in the 1.5 hour performance, including Tempting Time and CAFO, two of my favourites. We had a bit of a rave about style, and turns out his secret to tapping is "I just hit it really hard".

Ended with a signing and Ibanez (who sponsored) giving out a few t-shirts (I didn't get one :( ), and Tosin even complimented me paying $26 NZD for Weightless, until I explained that that's normal price here.

A great time, don't think he'll be doing any more of these, but better than just a concert, and cheaper too.

9/10

He's a top guy and a super talent.
Really enjoyed watching A.A.L perform a little while back and will be watching them again, supporting Meshuggah.

Buy the TRAM EP, it's great.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.
