Eclectic prog band Oblivion Sun, a spin-off/follow-up to Happy The Man, says that their 2nd album The High Places is completed and reached the mixing stage.  They hope to release it "soon".  http://www.oblivionsun.com/?p=1

Cool!  I was kind of worried they'd be just a "one-off".

Now... THIS IS an old band that actually still has relevant things to contribute to the present and future of prog rok.

The High Places album is still a mystery in October 2012. Not exactly sure what has transpired but rumors I heard were that one of the members split sometime ago and it left the band high and dry. When I went and questioned if they broke up on Oblivion Sun's very, shall we say, outdated site; I was told by a remaining band member that all was well. And that the work was just about complete. That was in June. The other bit of news was from Laser's Edge who told me, he thought they were done. So I don't know what to think here other than...I keep waiting to hear something from this great band that appears to have gone ghost.Unhappy

^^ Boo...

But if it's already at the mixing stage they can stilll release it I would think. Unless they wanted to keep it hidden away.
