hmmm.... maybe obvious question but have you checked out Frank Zappa's instrumental 70s stuff? also check out Twin Beaks, Obstacles ... possibly add Darediablo if you don't mind a 'modern' sound

in the "golden age era" X-rated movies there is a lot of good instrumental funk tunes


no xxx scenes, this is just about music :-) Nice soundtrack though

A beautiful funk groove with flute by Janko Nilović from Yugoslavia; the track is from his full-instrumental funk LP relased in 1975 for French label Montparnasse 2000.
 
 
 
 
 
 
A longest track from Janko Nilović's full-instrumental funk LP released in 1974 also for Montparnasse 2000 Label. Interestingly enough, Dr Dre sampled this track at the new album Cannon, 2015 (Loose Cannons #7)
