Minnies spectacular five-and-a-half octave range is mindblowing and Charles Stepney's arrangement/production is grand so her whole debut album* is highly reccomendable. But especially on Whenever, Wherever more stuff happens in three and a half minutes than in an average Gentle Giant tune (sort of), yet its all within the context of a silky soft soul/jazz-delight. I find it so beautifully intriguing.
The reason for this thread is that I'd like some more of "this". So if any of you know anything I should give a listen please post your reccomendations, videoes, links or whatever here.

There's plenty of gentle but complex jazz but (&prog) what I'm looking for this time has to be within a "popsong-context". It doesn't have to be vintage soul/R&B but that's mainly what I'm hoping for. Minnie's song is perfect but...
