I've just found out today that one of the leading persons in Japan's excellent noise scene died back in September, 25.

Aube's work ranged from incredibly harsh, and ear splittingly loud noise, to soft floating ambiance. He started Aube in the early 90's (as well as starting his own cassette label, G.R.O.S.S., which has released work by some bands here on PA, like Dead Voices On Air, and Smegma) and since then has released many albums, singles, splits, and compilations. Aube also had a unique way of creating his sonic walls of sound. He would start with the sound of only one object, and then manipulate/process that sound into some truly stunning works, creating an entire album with different tracks from just one basic sound. Some of the more odd choices for this process were the Bible (Pages From The Book), fluorescent and glow lamps (Dazzle Reflexion), the human heart (Cardiac Strain), space (Comet), brainwaves (Cerebral Disturbance), and much more.

RIP
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
