I'm going to do a series of polls like this, each featuring two consecutive years.  The aim is to see how our opinion of music over the years rises and falls according to our personal tastes.  This being a prog forum, I expect the early 70s will be more popular than the mid-60s, for example.  But let's do this in lots of small polls, rather than putting 25 years into a 1964-1988 poll and another 25 years into a 1989-2013 poll.  That way we'd each only get to vote for two years out of fifty.  Plus of course you can't really compare  1964 with 1977 or 1988.  This way we get  to compare like with like.
So which year do you think had the best music? 1991 or 1992?

lmao!  Yeah, that poll sure didn't take off did it man.  I can relate.  I remember when I used to try posting things.. I do think I went several years of threads and polls that never made it to page 2 or even got a single reply.

Problem is...  christ man.  91'.. 92'.. they completely run together dude. I suppose the whole Grunge thing falls into there.. but that is the only thing really noteworthy about those years.

Yes it would be very hard to look at all the music that was released in a particular year. I have no idea what to vote.

1992 quite easily with Landberk releasing two killer albums in Lonely Land and Riktigt Akta along with Anglagard's Hybris then throw in Electric Teepee by Hawkwind and After Cryings Megalazottak ...
1991 had Echolyn's debut, Sieges Even Sense Of Change, Xaal's En Chemin, Wyatt's Dondestan and PT's On The Sunday Of Life. At least those are my top five for both years, and they were lean years but those are ten great albums in my opinion.

I was into the alternative scene back then and 1991 had Ten and Nevermind while 1992 had Dirt. Also from 1992 my favourite The Church album Priest=Aura was released.

Prog: An easy win for '92. Hybris, Water's Solo, and Echolyn beat the whole year of '91 alone.
Non-Prog: An easy win for '91. Spiderland, Achtung Baby, Blue Lines, Ten & Screamadelica are all on my top 50 favourite albums.

I don't believe that any albums were released in 1991 or 1992. There were worldwide shortages of plastic and vinyl. Dark days, very dark days.
