Okay, just one more I found recently and I apologize if it was suggested before. Guitarist of symphonic Cathedral started releasing some albums of solo acoustic guitar in the late 2000's but he does have one more interesting album in 1981 called 'Ocean Of Arts'. I don't know if it's clear cut symphonic because the album is switching between songs inspired by symphonic acts and sometimes more pastoral and acoustic. Here's some info on proggnosis and it's another act like Negasphere that's already reviewed by collab Apostolis on RYM.

nice suggestionThumbs Up, the man deserves to be here, if you ask me propably Xover or Folk would be better options because the symphonic leanings are mostly in the background, anyway, some guy from these teams or symphonic needs to pick it up.

^Between xover or folk does sound plausible, even though the symphonic sound is the first thing that hit me, the album on the whole is a bit more versatile.

exactly this, it's pretty much an indefinable work, which does not sit in a specific genre. But as there are not multiple tags here, it has to go somewhere, I would be pleased to see this man here no matter the genre he will be absorded.

All the songs from his other two albums are available to listen to in full via his website at: http://www.rudyperrone.com/music.html (just click on the links and they play - no external media player needed).

Full biography provided on the site too: http://www.rudyperrone.com/bio.html.

The remaining five tracks from the 'Oceans Of Art' album are on YouTube, uploaded by the same user that gave us the six tracks in the o.p.

I won't embed them all here this time, but the links are:

I reckon It needs to go to over the dandelion patch for the initial eval - the other two albums he's done certainly aren't symphonic, and I doubt that there is enough material in 'Oceans Of Art' that is to satisfy the orchestral boys. So, either the topic title needs amending to include 'Prog Folk' in it so that either Bob or Ken can spot it, or a note needs dropping in their team thread. If the folkies don't feel that Rudy is quite in their style then they can pass him on to Crossover to see if he can be accomodated there. Smile

^Ok, changed the thread and I'll send it over to Folks first and see what happens from there.

I prefer to stay a bit away for a few days regarding a bump on a team thread to avoid any false alert, it might be not a pure symphonic album, but it has strong symphonic hints and considering Perrone's past with Cathedral, which are also in symphonic, maybe the guys there want to pick it up themselves after hearing the samples for a more proper evaluation...or maybe the dandelions hurry and get it for themselves, who knows...Let's see how it goes at least for the next couple of days.

faster typing I guessWink, anyway, I will watch closely, this album is an under-the-radar pearl of the 80's.

It was the other two albums which made me think he might best be looked at by Prog Folk team rather than the Symphonic one. His solo discography looked at as a whole would perhaps not include sufficient music with a symphonic influence for him to be considered a Symphonic Prog artist first and foremost, even though he was formerly part of the Symphonic Prog band Cathedral.
I expect he will eventually find his correct home on here in the fullness of time whichever team actually starts the ball rolling. Smile

The first album could go either way (Crossover or Prog Folk) IMHO.  The second and third albums are on Spotify and they consist pretty much of all acoustic guitar instrumentals.  Some of those sound a bit like Neo to me but hey, it's acoustic guitar so overall Prog Folk seems like the right place.

He's posted over in the Dandelion Patch for Ken to check out but for me Prog Folk is a 'Yes'.
