"Oort is an estonian folk-rock band that has been active since 2000 and well-known as a pioneer in Estonian folk-rock music field. The group has a mission to revive arhaic runo songs, expressed the way of life – all pleasures, pains and their relation to nature – everything was expressed in songs. Beside of traditional nordic sounds, there are hints from jazz and rock music in their arrangements.

Oort grabs the horns and bears the crest of a large deep furrows regi rock field. Both are transferred to you Mythic thrills behind the millennia, creating a song in our nation's future. Oort searches seek a sense of the music of the time, when expressed regilaul lifestyle - all the joys, worries and relationship with nature expressive singing. Oort trying to re-create runic song on our daily lives, that it would not be just mere entertainment or a museum piece. The ensemble sound of shooting could find a way around the archaic folk-pop, jazz as well as metal-shades. Oort his listeners are found in Estonia, Scotland, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Russia and America."
