"Lista de canciones: 1. Rebellion 2. I'll Be Born Again 3. A la lista de "imprescindibles" pero ya." http://hardrockfree.blogspot.com/2012/12/visions-of-tragedy-visions-of-tragedy.html Almost Christmas we know this release of Galician Visions Of Tragedy. Their self-titled LP is dated December 15, 2012, so we've never commented as recently as this novelty. Not so good, actually. When I started listening to freemusic and discovered Thornwill, I really thought I was never going to find anything like it in terms of quality and taste, but I was wrong, and audible test is this Visions Of Tragedy, which has me full time since I I found out three days ago.Three days and I've heard how some twelve or thirteen times ... in the car, on the way to gigs, gigs and return before going to on so strong it gave me. It is a spectacular work of progressive heavy metal just over half an hour. We knowthat free music has a high use of the EP format, but this is quite a long life, do not be deceived by the small number of cuts. And is that Visions Of Tragedy, by duration, has all the flavor of those old records progressive, as is the case ofYes, Rush or Jethro Tull, exhausted her 30 minutes of fame in a few tracks (in the case of Thick As A Brick Jethro wasthe one track, it takes longer). However, by musical style needs to place this band in the heavy contemporaryprogressive metal school Dream Theater or Threshold, ie, progressive laden distortion and exquisite technique, without concessions to power, as in the case of a Symphony X, for example. Visions of Tragegy: Víctor Camacho: Guitar; Andrés Fernández: Keyboards; Gorka Oya: Guitar; Carlos Gonzalez: Drums; Javier Vidal: Voice. Lowest also borne by Gorka Oya except the first cut, Rebellion, by Mark sayans We will discuss this wonder, composed, as we have said, for three issues and that starts with my favorite cut,Rebellion. The first thing is obvious, apart from the fact that it is well on the disc, the great voice of Javier Vidal. And, yes, ladies and gentlemen: it is not accented English and Badajoz, too frequent defect in our national spokespeople. It may sound a snob chorra and what I'm going to say much, but the disc has "international quality". What we found inRebellion are a BUENISIMAS progressions that we are slowly getting Catastrophic matter from sirens start tobroadcasters "world news" that we hear about music, and preceding the stunning duet and keyboard guitar. Rathertimidly starts to go up the dose of speed on guitars and keyboards up to the musical climax. The truth is that it is quitemulti-orgasmic, because when you think you've had enough of the instrumental passages continue to improve even more and seem to peak. The second is at stake I'll Be Born Again and direct the hippest song of the three, but with a very melodic chorus, where voices bring much to our sadly deceased Andrew Mac McDermott. But the music goes in line Threshold. Which is a compliment, because you dare to sound like these machines have to be really good. have this song on the radiofor your enjoyment. But do not miss the other two. Never Say Goodbye is the longest piece on the disc, almost a quarter of an hour. So we can say that occupies our"Side B" entirely. The intro is heard a lone acoustic guitar, accompanied only by explosions in the background. Andeveryone knows that tomorrow the world ends December 21, so why wait to get this Visions Of Tragedy. Starts the main riff passages that are very much in line keyboards Dream Theater. The voice unfolds gently at first, and in this song reached almost operatic motifs, something we have not seen in the previous two songs and where Vidal is handled equally well. All musicians are to an excellent standard, and is also the case of Carlos Gonzalez, notedparticularly extravagant pace that adds to the batteries. I have no idea of time, I can only say that this is definitely not a 4x4. Little more to say: Spain already has a huge group of progressive heavy metal. In Jamendo record company say they seek. We have no doubt that we will soon leave because you can not spend much without someone of a seal is set on these great musicians. For posterity will be copyleft however this gem of a half hour. Scott (rushfan4) added them to progfreak four months ago: http://progfreak.com/Visions-of-Tragedy-159166.html, but they've not been added to any PA chart as yet - maybe he didn't drop a note in the team thread? They're on MMA in their Progressive Metal sub: http://www.metalmusicarchives.com/artist/visions-of-tragedy, and it sounds mainly like Prog Metal to me. Would have thought they'd have a fair chance of getting the nod here too. - Vocals aren't the greatest I've ever heard, but they're certainly better than Phenome/Dirty Harry/Septetra/Alex Burchell!!
