Subdivisions for me. Signals is the best Rush album imo, and this one alongside Losing It are my faves off it. I could never really get into Moving Pictures. I don't want to cop out and vote 'both' so went for TS even of that dung dung dung dung bit makes me think of Beavis and Butthead for some reason. BTW I heard an acoustic version recently of Subdivisions which is sublime. If you haven't heard it: |

Dude really!!!! How tougher can this be.....That intro odd time synth, the drumming, bass line, lyrics its Subdivisions for me. Tom Sawyer will always be my crank it up song at home or in the car... Tough one for sure. -------------

I worked in a HiFi store for many years and I sold many speakers playing "Tom Sawyer" by Rush. So for that reason I choose "Tom Sawyer'. ------------- Vinyl just sounds better!! |

It's a tie and I want to keep it that way. I can't decide between Subdivions (I like the melody a bit more) or Tom Sawyer (some killer riffs). So I vote for the "Both equally"-option. -------------

| Tom Sawyer is a little too general for me. It came from an album that really took them over the top, but I feel the era of Subdivisions was more creative, and the song is a grand representative of that. |
