This is a Jason Schimmel project that is a no brainer for a RIO/Avant-Prog listing here at PA, imho Tongue

After Estradashere, but prior to Atomic Ape, Jason worked on this project and if you enjoy those bands you will love Orange Tulip Conspiracy.

There is only one self titled album released September 9, 2008. Here is link to album tracks and info at Amazon site: http://www.amazon.com/Orange-Tulip-Conspiracy/dp/B001FLMJ02" rel="nofollow - http://www.amazon.com/Orange-Tulip-Conspiracy/dp/B001FLMJ02

Here are a couple You Tube videos:

Lovely album, I got it at the same time as the Atomic Ape one.

Agree, very nice album. At this time I like it a bit better than the Atomic Ape "Swarm"album. Less reverb perhaps?? LOL

Cheers!

I'm the other way round preferring AA.

Cool. I don't think either project reaches the musical heights of Estradashpere's best, though. Pieces like "A Corporate Merger", "Palace of Mirrors", "Mekapses Yitonisa", "Hardball", "Hunger Strike"....those are some seriously classic progressive works, imho.

Looks to me as though this eventually got overlooked - there's no progfreak entry yet for the band (well there is now...I just added them: http://progfreak.com/Orange-Tulip-Conspiracy-160154.html" rel="nofollow - http://progfreak.com/Orange-Tulip-Conspiracy-160154.html  Embarrassed), which there would already have been if RIO/Avant team were on the case...That's unless the album is due to be included somehow in  http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=8756" rel="nofollow - Atomic Ape 's discography, since the last post on the Orange Tulip Conspiracy http://orangetulipconspiracy.com/" rel="nofollow - website was they they had "mutated into" Atomic Ape, albeit with a whole new line-up, and a whole new sound...which really means that they should have a separate page on here after all (if approved). Ermm

The issue is further compounded by the fact that on RYM they are listed as a JR/F band: http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/orange_tulip_conspiracy" rel="nofollow - http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/orange_tulip_conspiracy .

Anyone who wants to decide which of the two subs is best can hear the whole album on myspace: https://myspace.com/orangetulipconspiracy/music/songs" rel="nofollow - https://myspace.com/orangetulipconspiracy/music/songs .

I'm gonna go and have a lie down now with a stiff Jack Daniels... Confused

Added to RIO chart.  Sorry for the miss.  Seems like a gimme to me.
