Steven Wilson has confirmed his fourth solo album is to be called Hand. Cannot. Erase. and it’s set for launch in March next year via Kscope.

He’ll support the release with a six-date UK tour the same month, with further dates to be announced across Europe in due course.

Wilson says: “We’re currently developing a show that I hope will raise the bar musically and visually from my previous tours. The setlist will be based around the new album, of course, as well as casting the net further back into my past for a few surprises.”

Hand. Cannot. Erase. follows his acclaimed 2013 album The Raven That Refused To Sing And Other Storieshttp://gigst.rs/SW" rel="nofollow - Tour tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (November 21).

Based on the video clips and song clips, not sure he can top The Raven.....I do like the concept of the album, and of course looking forward to its release, it will be good.

Also hoping for a US tour and him coming to Seattle again!!

How do you raise the bar musically after Raven?   I mean it wasn't a perfect album, but it seems like he used virtually every trick he knows on that one.  Have at it, Wilson.  I'm listening.

The sampler posted before didn't thrill me completely, but of course I'll get this at some point.

My only complaint with the excellent Raven was the occasional awkward arrangements. If he corrects that, this will be even better in my book. And I'm glad it's the same band too.

Yeah I would really try to go see him if he did a US tour.

We saw the GFD tour in Seattle and that was an excellent show.....not too fond of the obscure curtain he was using for the first few songs though.

Marco is a beast, I love his drumming

If he comes around Seattle or San Francisco, I wanna go see him again ... it's been too long since PT (1999) and that messed up roadie saying the band was terrible and they sounded great to my ears!

Surprised nobody has posted the album details yet.  http://stevenwilsonhq.com/sw/hand-cannot-erase-artwork-and-tracklist-revealed/

I don't really like the album art at all. It looks like Lasse dropped his paint box on what he was working on and called it a day. But its the music that counts at the end of the day, and the clips do sound promising.

I hope Steven explores some different sounds in this album- he is starting to sound a little redundant at this point in his career...

To me Raven was a masterpiece even despite a couple of isolated awkward moments in the middle. Unfortunately this means he's raised the bar for himself so I was hoping he'd take more time before his next album. The last thing anyone wants to see is a follow-up that's not near the same level of quality. I guess we'll see.

I loved Raven. One of my tops that year. Looking forward to the new release.

It's as if it is supposed to look spilled...
