The whole package is classic, and Side One (Swastikas on Parade) has some great moments: Land of a Thousand Dances; The Letter... But the flipside (Hitler was a Vegetarian) has the best tunes: Light My Fire; Yummy Yummy Yummy; Good Lovin'; In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida; and the Beatles/Stones finale. I have a few Residents albums. A few of them I really like, this one I would toss back. You have to be a musical masochist to like this... I would recommend Trout Mask Replica to you. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Among the Residents-classics that I can imagine sounded cutting edge back when it was released but as a listening experience it got old really fast. This is excellent though so I'll go for the A-side. -------------

I forget at the moment which title goes on which side, but yeah, that second side, especially toward the end, is fantastic. The juxtapositions of the source material are perfect.
