Lizards Exist is a progressive psychedelia / space rock band from Zagreb, Croatia. The band are producing a vintage sound, also offering jazzy respectiviely eclectic tendencies. People who appreciate and share good music. We are in the process of thinking wheter to publish vinyl by ourselves or find a label. CD is in the process of negotiation. We are going for replicated cds from glassmasters so we have to arrange some things with the company that is doing it for us. Unfortunately, we were only able to produce pro-duplicated jewel-boxed, sealed CD-R. We almost closed a deal for original CDs, but then we found out that we had to pay to a national copyright agency, register our album in their database, buy barcodes and pay tax. It was a deal breaker cause the price has risen 40% above expected. So we took DDP image files we got from our mastering studio and took them to the same company and instead of glassmaster CDs we made CD-R replicas with offset printed cover art. I must say that the CD has the higher quality sound than digital download. I am wondering how do the master tapes sound, but I don't have the guts to play them before they are cut into vinyl. Hmmm, I'm thinking the Lizards should record the footage for a DVD or Bluray relase?! Unless, of course, you plan on playing down here in Australia?! We have plenty of lizards down here...just not of the musical kind!
