Hopefully we will see them not only in the USA but on the west coast as well.

Hi,

Sadly, I think that the West Coast getting almost any band these days is sad and rare. Not many of them can afford the tripping around, and the venues are small and the appreciation is minimal unless you are in the big city.

I was pleasantly surprised to see MAGMA stop in Portland, and just totally dizzy over it, and that is the biggest "import" and "foreign" band through here since Tangerine Dream and Alan Stivell some 27 years ago.  It was almost a miracle! think I'll cry when Magma starts their show!

Seeing CAMEL would be nice ... but never happen, even though I would not be adverse to driving to LA or SF (preferably -- I have not handled the smog too well last time!)

Camel in York tonight!  Not seen any reports of last night in St. Albans.  Oh well, they can surprise me!

Saw Camel in York last night - fantastic!

I've only ever seen them live on dvd's and on youtube in the past and I always thought the vocals were poor and it seemed like Andy Latimer was simplifying his playing, but not last night, the vocals have improved tenfold from previous tours and Andy's playing was immense, nearly note for note on 'Ice' with great improv guitar on 'Lady Fantasy.'

The only grumbles from me is that there were no 'Stationary traveler,' 'Lawrence,' or 'For Today.' ...oh and it was too loud!!! Clap

What electric guitar was he using besides the Les Paul? Is it a Fernades JG65?
