Margaritas Ante Porcos is a prog rock trio from Riga, Latvia. In December 2014, they released their full-lenght debut album titled Gluposti / Глупости (engl. "Nonsense") Members are: Guitars & vocals - Zurab Pirchalaishvili Drums, xylophone & percussions - Pavel Terehov Bass-guitars - Denis Dyakon http://margaritasanteporcos.bandcamp.com/album/gluposti" rel="nofollow - http://margaritasanteporcos.bandcamp.com/album/gluposti   СD contains 2 instrumental tracks and 4 songs in russian. These guys have actually been around since 1990, with several line-up changes along the way. Zurab, Alexei Bolotov (drums) and Andrew Pekinar (bass) create prog trio. The program does give several concerts in Riga and Salaspils. Write "Shizu," which falls into the rotation SWH-Rock. Andrew throws music. 1999-2002: cover-band. Igor comes Makushev. Making a program of ~ 30 covers from Led Zeppelin to King Crimson and Faith no More. We stand by the Paris Club, in Madona and Krāslava. Igor kicks out. 2003-2005: remember everything. In place of Igor Anton Medvedev arrives. Restoring the program of the first composition. Record an album with the material, combining all periods of the band (except covers)." - Zurab Pirtshalayshvili / vocals, guitar - Pavel Terekhov / drums, xylophone - Dennis Deacon / bass Much of this music has a JR/F feel about it to these ears, but since Scott (Evolver) is on both teams it will surely find its proper home once it gets taken downstairs into the dark caverns that lie beneath this forum...  |
